Incident Escalation

Automated escalation of a hypoglycemic incident to emergency contacts

When a hypoglycemic (below low threshold) blood glucose reading was received (near instantaneously via low power Bluetooth) -

Initiate the hypoglycemic protocol
Message the user via mulitple modalities notifying them of the dangerously low reading and asking them to acknowledge the situation. Also ask the user to ingest some sugar and remeasure their blood glucose
If no response, wait 5 mins & repeat message outreach
If no response after the second message attempt, send an SMS to all emergency contacts notifying them and including a URL to a map of their last known position (from GPS), nearest medical facility and nearest first responder stations
If the user acknowledges, check the new reading to see if it is above threshold. If yes, cancel protocol. If no, restart protocol.
